  • Car Donation Program of 'Heritage for the Blind' Is Now Providing Free Vacation Vouchers

(Transportation-News.com, March 13, 2013 ) Brooklyn, NY -- Heritage for the Blind, known for its car donation program, has announced it now provides free vacation vouchers to those people interesting in its program. The voucher is good for a three-day, two-night stay at a hotel in available cities. A vacation certificate is provided that is redeemable online or via fax or mail.

The certificate, when presented, is good for a reservation request form offering two adults and up to two children under 18 a two night stay at a hotel. Standard hotel accommodations are offered with each stay. Dates and destinations are chosen by the person, while the hotel will be chosen based on availability.

Each reservation request form must be mailed within six months. Users are required to travel to the specific hotel and destination within 12 months to take advantage of the offer. Destinations include many major cities and vacation spots throughout the United States.

When redeeming the certificate, there is a one-time non-refundable fee of $15.95. A deposit of $33 per night is charged for requesting reservations while taxes and fees range from $12 to $33, depending on the destination and time of travel. Restricted dates include times of holidays and conventions.

Heritage for the Blind offers numerous services based on the car donations it receives. These include a medical alert service for the visually impaired, a free benefit search program, and publication and distribution of materials with large print and Braille.

Donations can be made online via a simple form and the company will arrange free pickups of vehicles. A tax-deductible receipt and gift are provided as part of the program. All paperwork is handled internally and donators are also given a vacation voucher.
