(Transportation-News.com, March 20, 2013 ) FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Friday afternoon a twin-engine plane crashed in Fort Lauderdale leaving no survivors, authorities stated.
The twin-engine Piper Cheyenne PA-31T crashed around 4:30 p.m., shortly after taking off from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.
Reports show that the crash killed three people including the pilot along with a father and son. Bystanders said the crash caused a ton of fire and a ton of damage. There were no injuries to people on the ground near the accident.
The pilot was said to be friends with the two passengers, whom were President and Engineer at an aviation engineering company.
Investigators have not yet determined a conclusion for the cause of the accident, however many believe the blame rests on the owners, mechanics, and others who worked on the plane.
Friends and family of the pilot say he was well-versed, and would regularly take friends out on the aircraft.
