He has a few tips for helping to lower car insurance rates and make sure that coverage is worth the money being paid for.
First, drivers should report any and all accidents, even if they are minor, to a cop. A defect in the car’s computer system may not show up for several weeks. Reporting is different than a claim. There are several smartphone applications that allow drivers to record their accidents for evidence during a claim. WreckCheck, for instance, will guide drivers step-by-step about taking photos of the accident and obtaining information for the other driver and witnesses.
Last but not least, drivers should use a garage or repair shop that their company has recommended. This may help cut corners and costs, especially if the garage offers discounts to that insurance company.
