He stated that a good beginning for a painting company that wants to get into the business would be to contact the Federal Aviation Administration to obtain a copy of their regulations. “A good example is the egress and ingress situation. While a painting contractor is performing his duties, he is prohibited from blocking runways, taxilanes, or aircraft access to any area,” he warned.
Another thing a professional painting contractor must be aware of is that he and his employees often have to obtain a security clearance before their bid will be accepted. If one of his employees has a record which would red flag him as a security risk, the employer would almost certainly be denied the contract.
