AutoXiTool Car Escape Hammer with Bracket
The first release of this twin pack car escape hammer used a poly bag to contain the two hammers. Each hammer was separately secured in its own blister pack with a back insert card giving outline instructions for use.
The poly bag had short comings that needed to be removed. Contents were loose so the bags and the hammer packs were easily damaged. And there was a suffocation risk which Amazon advised needed attention.
To address these issues Nifty Selections designed improved packaging using a robust white card box with images and text. This gave a superior and more secure solution to the poly bag container. It also gave the opportunity for product improvement.
Customer feedback indicated a bracket or holder for each hammer would be a distinct advantage. A hammer secured within reach of the driver, not left loose in the center console or glove box, was considered a better storage option.
In response to this feedback each AutoXiTool hammer in the newly designed box now comes with a mounting bracket and securing screws .
Consideration was given to how the new box could be made more secure and less likely to be damaged. Making the container more rigid was the option taken.
To achieve this the blister pack was dispensed with and the insert card was reduced in size to fit within the box. Next the card thickness was doubled to make them more rigid and durable.
Two thicker cards in the center of the box now add strength for shipping and improved protection of the contents.
A small finishing touch was added in the form of a reflective closure sticker. This has two purposes. First the obvious one - to keep the top flap closed. The other less obvious to state the AutoXiTool is 'Sold as Set'
The first release of the AutoXiTool proved popular with many an auto owner. As one satisfied customer noted:

But there is always room for improvement.
