The list price of $149.95 has been marked down to $109.95, a savings of $40. PrimeEffects is a consumer products company whose focus is on specialty items in the fields of health and safety. The Screaming Banshee Motorcycle Air Horn is a compact electric air horn designed to supplement an existing horn system and act as an early warning device.
"We've been running this sale and these horns are becoming very popular," says Philip Jepsen, CEO and spokesman for PrimeEffects. "As a result we've decided to keep the sale going through the holidays. The horn comes with the wiring and hardware you need to mount it, and it will fit into just about any available space. It's designed for motorcycles and scooters, but truth is you could mount it to any vehicle with a similar electrical system. Car, boat, you name it."
The Screaming Banshee is 4.5 x 5.2 x 3.5 inches in size, and weighs 2.4 pounds. The kit includes wiring and mounting hardware, and can be wired directly into the existing horn system, or installed as a separate horn.
"It's a very compact little unit -- fits easily in your hand," says Mr. Jepsen. "And yet it gives off a warbling high-pitch sound that is louder than an average emergency response siren. That's over a hundred and thirty decibels at full rip. It's loud."
When wired into the existing horn system the Screaming Banshee Motorcycle Air Horn activates through the main horn system after a sustained depression of the factory horn button. Short taps of the button activate the factory horn. When the Screaming Banshee is activated it also flashes the high beams. It will remain on sale through the holidays.
