  • Bullish Stocks by The Stockfather Include Horizon Lines (HRZ), Eastman Kodak (EK) and GenVec (GNVC)

(EMAILWIRE.COM, October 17, 2011 ) Chicago, IL -- The Stockfather has released its list of bullish stocks to watch heading into Monday, Oct. 17.

Included in that list is Horizon Lines, Inc. (NYSE: HRZ), GenVec, Inc. (Nasdaq: GNVC), Eastman Kodak (NYSE: EK) and Taseko Mines Ltd. (AMEX: TGB).

According to The Stockfather, a market research site and newsletter, Horizon Lines is bullish because it is near its year low and trades on the NYSE.

Horizon Lines states on its web site that it is the nation's leading domestic ocean shipping and integrated logistics company. On Friday after market close, close, Horizon Lines released news, naming Joe Rodriguez Vice President Sales and Marketing for the eastern region.

During trading on Friday, about 1.9 million shares changed hands for HRZ, a 200.5 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares remained unchanged at .32. The 52-week range for HRZ is 0.25 to 5.95.

The Stockfather says HRZ is definitely one to watch in the coming days due to its share price, other recent news events and trading activity.

Eastman Kodak (NYSE: EK) fought off bankruptcy rumors recently. What's more, published reports say that the company reached a licensing deal with Imax over the weekend. This could impact the share price when trading resumes on Monday.

On Friday, shares of EK closed at 1.24 and the 52-week high is nearly six dollars.

According to The Stockfather, GenVec, Inc. (Nasdaq: GNVC) and Taseko Mines Ltd. (TGB) are also ones to watch.

Shares of GNVC closed Friday at 3.08, up 10 cents or 3.36 percent. Shares of TGB closed at 3.30, up 20 cents or 6.45 percent. Both companies are on news watch, according to The Stockfather.
