 (EMAILWIRE.COM, October 18, 2011 ) New York, NY - After more than two years of waiting, the English translation of 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami is going to hit English-speaking countries by storm. 1Q84 was originally published in Japan in 2009 in three volumes. The novel was an instant hit on the first day it was released. This time, 1Q84 English version will be published in a single volume. The first two Japanese volumes are translated by Jay Rubin, while Philip Gabriel translated the third volume.
1Q84 book by Haruki Murakami is about the amazing, epic love story of a young female assassin (Aomame) and an aspiring novelist (Tengo), set in Tokyo, 1984. 1Q84 stands apart from most of MurakamiÂ’s work, mainly because of its epic elements and it is narrated in the third person.
Haruki Murakami is classified as a cult author due to his surreal stories of giant frogs, fish from the sky and talking cats. With 1Q84, Murakami intends to let go of that title. The North American 1Q84 release date is set for October 25, 2011 by the publishing company, Knopf. Harvill Secker publishing firm will release the book in the United Kingdom on the same day, but in two volumes.
