The Texas Rangers have been solid all year long. This is their second year making it to the World Series. Last year the Texas Rangers lost to the San Francisco Giants in the World Series. The St. Louis Cardinals are another story. The St. Louis Cardinals have been up and down all season. They were ten and a half game out of the wild card position. Then in the first round they had to take on the Philadelphia Phillies. The Philadelphia Phillies were heavy favorites and the St. Louis Cardinals upset them. Then the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Brewers as well in the next round.
The World Series will be viewable on Fox. Some of the big name players in the World Series are Albert Pujols, Chris Carpenter, Matt Holiday, Jason Hamilton, Nelson Cruz, and Tony LaRussa.
The St. Louis Cardinals are underdogs in this World Series. The Texas Rangers have one of the best offensive lineups in baseball and also have one of the best bullpens in baseball. The Texas Rangers starting pitching is where they are up and down. They can be great or really bad.
The St. Louis Cardinals are a pretty solid team with a lot of key injuries. They have a very solid batting lineup with Albert Pujols and Matt Holiday. Their starting pitching is average except for Chris Carpenter and their bullpen is above average.
