(EMAILWIRE.COM, November 18, 2011 ) Asheville, NC -- Polaris has introduced a new Ranger RZR every year since 2008. 2012 is no exception. The only difference is the company's intention to offer an affordable UTV that offers the creature comforts of their flagship models.
The heart of the RANGER RZR 570 is the ProStar 570 single cylinder, DOHC, electronic fuel injected engine. The engine is made specifically for Side-by-Side vehicles. The ProStar 570 has 650 watts of stator output. The soul of the 570 is a new transmission with gear geometry that is optimized to provide more power to the ground, less driveline noise and lower weight. The design features a helical cut final drive with high torque capacity for maximum efficiency. Knowing that these UTVs would not stay on the road very long, Polaris incorporated an ultra smooth Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) that provides 9.5-inches of travel in the rear. The front suspension makes use of Dual A-Arms with 9-inches of suspension travel. The front and rear suspension are coupled by a 77-inch long wheelbase and pre-load adjustable ZF Sachs Shocks on all four corners. Front and rear anti-sway bars keep the chassis rigid in the turns.
Many people wonder how to get a side-by-side over trails. This model is only 50 inches wide, that is how. Couple that with AWD and the vehicle can go anywhere. This might be the best UTV to buy for any couple interested in enjoying the wilderness together.
