(Transportation-News.com, June 29, 2012 ) Houston, TX -- Hisco, an employee-owned, specialty distribution company, serving the aerospace, defense, electronic assembly, renewable energy, medical device and other industrial markets, is now an Authorized Distributor for Henkel Aerospace Structural Adhesives and Surface Technologies.
“We see Hisco as a sustainable distribution partner,” says Dennis Cardoza, Global Channel Manager for Henkel ATA. “We were impressed with their intentional strategic approach, their sales coverage and their marketing expertise, as well as a proven track record as a valuable partner of other Henkel Business Units that goes back 30 years.”
Contributing factors in the decision to bring Hisco on-board were: Hisco’s strategic focus on the aviation market, its extensive North American footprint, as well as AS9120 certification.
Hisco has a long history supplying mission-critical materials to complex manufacturers. Under this agreement, Hisco will provide Henkel adhesives, sealants and surface treatments specific to the aerospace market. Hisco’s value-add divisions – Precision Converting and Adhesive Materials Group – will also contribute significantly. Precision Converting will do the converting and tolling of dry film products. Adhesive Materials Group will repackage adhesives and sealants.
“We are very excited about this new relationship,” says Scott Stover, Hisco’s Vice President/Business Development Manager Aerospace/Defense. “This addition of the Henkel ATA products complements our mission-critical aerospace portfolio. Our technical sales force has always excelled at working with our customers to develop solutions to address their design and manufacturing issues. Now they have premier product solutions to offer.”
