This winter, Weardale Railway will bring a piece of railway history to Stanhope with the return of the iconic North Eastern Railway (NER) Petrol-Electric Autocar. Operating passenger services between Stanhope and Bishop Auckland in February and March, the Autocar will also feature in special Easter events, giving visitors a rare chance to ride this pioneering train.
