  • Alligators are All the Rage for KidÂ’s Birthday Parties reports JumpingCastlesHireMelbourne.com.au

(Transportation-News.com, October 06, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA- What happened to the olden days of having happy clowns entertain at your child’s birthday party? It seems that day has come and gone and a new fad has taken its place. Bob Barrett came up with a completely untraditional idea for kid’s parties. However unconventional it may be, the fad has taken off.

Bob Barrett decided to earn a little cash off of his Alligator tenants, by making them available at kid’s swimming pool parties. Barrett states, "People were very leery at the beginning but it has taken off.” Just how did Barrett get his hands on the exotic creatures? Bob Barrett happens to be none other than the owner of The Alligator Attraction in Florida.

All parents have to do is give him a call, and he will drop by your home with a few of his scaly friends and entertain the kids in the pool alongside the gators.

Most parents at this point may be thinking safety wise. For this Barrett tapes over the mouths of the gators allowing them to swim freely among the kids in the pool. Just how much will this source of entertainment cost the host? ABC News reported that the service runs at about $175. It may be a steep price, but it solves the issue of boredom in kids who will be attending many birthday parties throughout the year. A party with gators is one sure to be remembered.

Barrett defended his idea by stating, "If you're 9, 10 or 11 years old, you've already had the 'jumparoo' house, the bounce house. You've had the pizza party. You've had the clown party. You get to have a pool party with a gator. It's a very popular party."

One parent stated, "We allowed all the children to come to the party and the parents without telling them about the alligators." It appears that the Alligators do not pose a threat to the children and are well behaved. Gary Morse, with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, claims to have had various angry calls about the issue. Morse states that there is not illegal activity going on at the moment, but the organization is taking steps to investigate the issue.
