    Tom Petty’s ‘Free Fallin’ found its way into the 1996 hit Jerry Maguire. When Tom Cruise, who plays the title role, hears the song on the radio, he can’t help but sing alone, and when watching the movie, it’s hard for viewers to hold back, too.



    Kevin Spacey feels extremely liberated in the 1999 hit “American Beauty”, when American Woman hits the soundtrack, it will make others feel eccentric, too.



    Harry and Lloyd, in the hilarious absurdity Dumb and Dumber, decide to sing a much dumber version of Inez and Charlie Foxx’s Mockingbird, much to the annoyance of the grouchy man sitting next to them.



    While it’s not really a film, Leslie Gore’s 1963 hit “Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows” in the 1993 Simpsons episode “Marge on the Lamb”.
