AmpliSine Labs and Professional Rebuild & Optimal Service will be adding jobs while SERVCO Chemical, a company originally from Hereford will be opening a new location on 66th Street in Lubbock.
Professional Rebuild and Optimal Service, or PROS helps industries rebuild air compressors and pumps. AmpliSine is a technology based companies, which helps monitor wells remotely for performance tests and SERVCO blends a variety of different chemicals to help the food and meat companies. LEDA and Market Lubbock CEO John Osborne is excited about the industrial opportunity for workers and hopes to help with the unemployment rates in the Lubbock area.
Alyssa Kitten, LEDA representative, says the the new business is projected to bring in $7 million in new salaries over the next year and add to Lubbock’s gross regional product by $19.1 million annually.
The impact on the community is supposed to beneficial as well. According to Texas Tech Economics professor Armando Lopez, the extra income will create a higher demand for goods and services, in return causing a demand for more labor.
