(Transportation-News.com, September 12, 2015 ) Danville, California -- During the summer season, driving can offer freedom, fun, and endless possibilities.

But for some teenagers, this freedom comes at a price. A new survey conducted by Liberty Mutual and SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) is showing that teens are more likely to engage in potentially dangerous driving behavior during the summer months.

Car crashes are already the number one cause of death among young people in America. However, during the summer months, driving dangers can pose an even greater threat to teens.

The survey cites several reasons for this, including:
    1. More Driving – Teens spend 44% more time in their cars during the summer months.
    2. Later Nights – 72% of teens report staying up later in the summer. Since they don't have to wake up early for school the next day, teens are more likely drive at night.
    3. Heavy Eyelids – During the summer, 24% of teens are more likely to drive when tired.

To combat the dangers of summer driving, the Department of Motor Vehicles is now recommending that all teens keep a first aid kit in their car at all times.

"A well-stocked, comprehensive first-aid kit could save your life in the event that you get into a serious accident or have a medical emergency," says the DMV.

To ensure that teens are better prepared for driving emergencies, Verco Auto has just released a first aid kit designed exclusively for use in cars. The kit features 100+ essential items like bandages and antiseptic wipes, and a durable, hard-shell case that fits easily in a glove box, trunk, or under the seat.

"Armed with our first aid kit, parents can rest assured knowing their kids are prepared for driving emergencies," said Jason Moss, CEO, Verco Auto.

The first aid kit is now available for purchase on Amazon.
