2. Overestimate--both rental times and limo sizes. While a limo may be advertised as being able to seat eight, that doesn't account for the extra space required to fit formal attire. Also, renters have to remember to factor waiting time into limo rental periods, and understand most limousine rental companies have minimum rental times of several hours.
3. Get a contract. Brides and grooms can't afford for things to go wrong on their wedding day. Without a signed contract, they may have no recourse if the limo doesn't show up (or shows up late) or the car isn't what was promised. Contracts offer peace of mind.
4. Factor in the tip. A cash tip of around 20% is normal on the wedding day, and should be accounted for in the budget. Depending on the size, type, and number of limos, it can add a hefty fee.
5. Double-check prices. The basic limousine rental rate listed on a company's website or advertisement may not apply to your wedding day. It is common for companies to charge more during in-demand seasons or special days (such as if the wedding date is on a holiday).
