Wiring and hardware for installation are included with the horn.

Connecting the Screaming Banshee in-line configures the air horn to activate after a sustained (longer then 0.2 seconds) press of the horn button. Taps of the horn button activate the normal, stock horn. When activated the electric air horn emits a warbling alert rated at up to 138 decibels. This is louder than an average emergency response siren. At the same time as the air horn is activated the motorcycle high beams are also flashed, adding a visual component to the warning. The idea behind the Screaming Banshee air horn is to draw immediate attention to the rider by all other drivers in the environment.
