Laura LaFond, the founder of the company, explains the decision to rename the product range and give new and existing customers an idea of the products behind the brand.
"The name change was introduced for several reasons." Laura said. "We wanted to tell a story that was true to the brand and company values. BooYah didn't really mean a whole lot. Sure, it was fun to say out loud, but the name Kevian comes from the merging of the names of my two children (Kevin and Ian) and while this might not seem like a big deal, to the company and to many of our customers it really is."
RCW Marketing, LLC has been operating for close to three and a half years – enjoying an increase in sales through the company website and the associated account on Amazon.com.
They sell a wide range of Eco-friendly car care products from leather cleaner and conditioner, car wash shampoo, wheel cleaners, and cleaning towels to car wash mitts and quick wax spray.
"With a focus on the environment and a mission to manufacture and distribute products that are safer for the environment, it seemed to make sense to use my children's names as the starting point for the rebrand. After all, one of the reasons we do what we do is to make the world a better place for all our children."
Rebranding is never easy. In 2011, Starbucks began the process of rebranding by changing the coffee shop logo in response to disappointing sales and the backlash against globalization.
Other notable rebranding campaigns have seen a successful Lego rebuild, a memorable Apple evolution and the rebirth of Old Spice Aftershave that left the market feeling refreshed.
