    Exterior and interiors
The 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda, which was named after the eel-like fish, the Barracuda, a car with E-body design and manufactured by Chrysler after being inspired with its performance. It was provided with a Radney v6 and V8 engines to produce power ranging from 145 to 235 hp. Due to the use of a new platform, externally this car was a bit shorter in size with 75 inches width and 187 inches length. They incorporated outstanding and stylish gills along its side windows to give this convertible car a bit more of an aggressive look. John Goerlitz was given responsibility to design this sporty car with rough and tough looks.
Along with its stylish looks, in order to make it more attractive, especially for younger drivers, its exterior was painted with some bright colors.
After releasing two versions, standard and sporty, of the 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda it was very much admired by enthusiasts. The interior of its sporty model was given with fitted seats, high quality leather trims and headrests to make it comfortable with style. It was also provided with a number of additional interior features including, high tech at the time, a cassette player installed on its black colored interior.
In order to complement its interior more near its gear shifter, a wooden insert was provided along with various other features, like the biggest speedometer displaying the range of speed from 0 to 120 mph and a steering wheel with three spokes. Though the looks of the rear seat were not so impressive, they are wider to provide comfort to the passengers sitting on it.
Other features of the 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda
A 6.3-liter 383 cubic inch engine produced up to 335 hp was among the other features in the standard version of 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda. In the other versions of this car, a 440 cubic inch and a Hemi engine were options, along with improved suspension, and a more flexible body, work to give a surprising boost to their performance.
The Plymouth Hemi Cuda, being the most powerful car Plymouth had produced, was made to be tuned in the garage independently. The large tires and wheels give a distinguishing look from its standard version. Along with the 7.0 liter engine, the standard version of this car was equipped with a set of 3, two-barrel carburetors that produce 355 hp which can be hugely improved by tuning its engine to easily produce 620 hp.
1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda was given a 4 speed manual transmission and nice suspension upgrade, to versions like double wishbones at the torsion bar to handle its performance easily and improve the ride experience. Adjustable Koni dampers along with disk brakes on the front, semicircular leaf springs and drum brakes on the rear were also installed in this car for the first time to give the driver more control.
Thus, the 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda may have been released many years ago, but is still one of the best cars in its class.
