This type of transmission system is also known as self-shifting transmission or n-speed transmission and provides a wide range of speed and torque output. A vehicle equipped with AT comes equipped with automatic gearboxes, which are devoid of the conventional clutch pedal. Transmission is a key function of vehicle powertrain and is a type of gearbox that transfers the power generated from an internal combustion engine to the wheel axle. An automotive transmission includes the entire drivetrain comprising various components such as a clutch, prop shaft, gearbox, drive shafts, and differentials among others.
