It pumps and manages the flow of aviation fuel to the engine and auxiliary power unit (APU) . Fuel systems differ significantly based on the aircraft performance in which they are installed. For instance, aircraft with single engine piston has a simple fuel system but a tanker, such as KC-135, is not only able to manage its own fuel but also provides fuel to other aircraft.
