(Transportation-News.com, January 24, 2018 ) HOUSTON -- Hisco Inc., an employee-owned, specialty distribution company, has selected Paul Seaback recipient of the Hisco Lifetime Achievement Award for his innovation and long-time service at the company. Seaback was honored for his 36-year tenure in which he pioneered Hisco’s vendor managed inventory (VMI) and third-party logistics (3PL) services that positively impacted the company’s growth and shareholder value. The award was presented to Seaback by President and CEO Bob Dill on December 4, 2017 at Los Pines Resort in Bastrop, Texas.
“Paul embraced Hisco’s spirit of entrepreneurial leadership,” said Dill. “But his true legacy is his passion for people. We honor Paul because he embodied the Hisco culture of ‘fast, friendly service.’ He has a special way of bringing out the best in others.”
Seaback joined Hisco in September 1978 as warehouse technician. He was promoted to outside sales representative in 1980. In 1984, he was promoted to branch manager for Hisco’s newly opened Austin location, where he later served in several capacities, including vice president in 1989 and vice president/central regional manager in 2008, until his retirement in May 2014. Seaback is also a previous member of the Hisco Board of Directors.
